I’ve had such a great experience learning salsa & bachata at the Starry Night studio In Garwood, NJ. They offer many weekly classes for a great monthly rate. My first time there, was on a Friday, when they give a Free class for newbies and I loved it!
The instructor Achicko SaGa is awesome, very professional and charismatic at the same time. Classes are always so much fun with him! Achicko is also very patient and makes sure he goes over all the steps thoroughly until everyone gets them right, and, allows all enough time to practice we are leaning.... I love that we get to practice even more at the open dancing socials the studio does throughout the month! ????????????

Achiko will make you the best dancer you can be. I’ve learned to lead salsa from him through a mix of private lessons and group classes. Achiko’s approach is uniquely effective compared to other schools I’ve tried. He pays attention to intricate detail of everything he teaches, ensuring that the lead is precise, clear to any follower, and on time. Achiko is the best instructor I have ever had in my life! He explains everything in details, occasionally revealing some secrets and nuances that other instructors don't. He jokes around, and makes classes fun and engaging. And he makes sure everyone understands the moves, before going to the next step, allowing everyone to comfortably progress at their own pace.

This dance studio is a hidden gem! Achiko is an excellent instructor who, not only teaches, but also makes learning fun throughout the class. He takes the time to make sure his students are doing the proper moves and creates a welcoming environment for all levels. I was invited to a Saturday Bachata/Salsa social and got hooked! Achiko SaGa is a great instructor. His classes are well-balanced and challenging at the same time, and always fun! Achiko gives personalized hints to everyone in class. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous time learning our first dance with Maria. She was always so kind to us in class and we had fun learning with her. She worked with our skills to really make us both comfortable and shine on our wedding day. We could not have been happier that we found Maria and used her to help us create a memorable first dance as husband and wife. Even if you are not looking for a choreographed 1st dance for a wedding or special event we both would highly recommend going to Maria for lessons its great time spent together with your partner getting out and doing something new.

I have been going to this dance studio for about month and a half now and my experience has been amazing! Salsa and bachata classes are a lot of fun. Achiko, who is the dance instructor, is fantastic. Not only is he a talented dancer and a great instructor but he is also a very charismatic person who creates fun atmosphere every time. In addition to salsa and bachata classes on Tuesday evenings i attend he also hosts socials on Fridays that are also a lot of fun. I highly recommend this studio and Achiko to anyone who is looking to learn to dance and to have fun doing it.

I so appreciate Achiko Saga's Salsa & Bachata classes--they are amazing. I was a bit hesitant to join at first, thinking that I might not fit in or not be coordinated enough, etc. However, when I walked into my first class, Achiko and the entire class were so welcoming, and as soon as we got moving I lost any reserves I had about joining. It was so fun and fully engaging! I've since been going regularly, and every class is varied; I never get bored. I have lost weight, I feel stronger in my body, have more coordination, and even formed lasting relationships with the women in the class. I have since invited my group of girlfriends, and we all attend regularly 🙂 I'm so glad that I joined and HIGHLY recommend Achiko Saga's Salsa & Bachata classes.

I have been taking salsa lessons with Achiko for a couple months now. He is a great instructor who teaches the dance in a very detailed way. Without his help and his expertise, I would not be on my way to becoming a very solid salsa dancer! He explains the structure of the dance step by step and he shows that what appears to look difficult is actually easier than it looks.
