Achiko SaGa

 Since 2001 Achiko SaGa has been teaching in-depth techniques in Salsa on 1 (L.A. style) and Salsa on 2 (N.Y. style) as well as other social and ballroom dances for Rutgers University and other acknowledged studios like Arthur Murray dance company.

He spent years observing and analyzing different styles of Salsa and developed his own style and method of teaching with a focus on leading/following, styling, and proper body movements.  After all, even the slightest change of body movement can make the dance look more graceful.

Achiko teaches Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba lessons and workshops, he and his teams perform at different venues such as festivals and congresses, and choreographs dances for various events.

Achiko’s goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dance: partner work as well as footwork (shines), and to share his experience with other people.

Satomi Montogue

Satomi Montague started learning Jazz and Ballet at the age of 9 in her native Niigata, Japan. After she moved to the U.S, she began learning many styles of dance including Flamenco, International Standard and Latin Ballroom, Hustle, and Salsa/Mambo. She trained with Eddie Toress, the Mambo King, whose specialty is “On 2” dancing New York Style. She learned Flamenco from Nelida Tirado from New York and studied with La Cina and Pilar Ortega in Spain. In 2005, she received a scholarship of classic and regional Spanish dancing from American Bolero Dance Company in New York. She has performed throughout New York/New Jersey in various groups and her great dance partners with Sonny Allen the last of the world’s famous Ballroom Harvest Ball Lindy Hop Champion, Roberto Pagan the World Hustle Champion, and Franck Muhel the “fastest feet” most energetic dancer. She loves dancing because the fun of it is a good addition to her life. Her goal is always to improve her dancing by adding new skills, performing and sharing happiness with others.
